Since
1976 there have been many sightings of large feline creatures around
the British Isles. Regarded by many as cryptozoology there are a number
of people and agencies taking these sightings seriously. Evidence has
been from spoor, fur samples and footprints along with many amateur
videos and photographs. Many sightings have been by professional persons
such as the police. The year of 1976 was when the dangerous animals
act was passed requiring licensing of large carnivores. If these animals
were released then they must have bred to be still present now. Most
likely Puma or Panther.
